I've become sort of obsessed with this weekly series/link up that my friend, Lindsey, over at OT and ET co-hosts with Randalin of Harvesting Kale. It's called "Currently" that has several themes for each week, and you just basically use those themes to sum up your current life happenings.
I love it.
I think it's a perfect change in pace for me from the "What's On My Mind" posts.

TAKING, GIVING, TEACHING, LEARNING, LOOKING
Taking... Time to work on a new idea that is scary (to me), and out of my comfort zone, and also something I haven't been able to stop thinking about for months... So, I just need to get over myself, drink a glass of wine (or two, or three), and jump in. Even if the idea does happen to fail miserably, at least I will have given it a shot. Or at least I hope I feel like I'm happy I gave it a shot... I hope.
Giving... My new haircut a chance, even though it has sucked so bad every single day since I got it cut. Hopefully I just suck at fixing it, and I'll get better at it.... Hopefully...
Teaching... The boys that no, I was not actually alive when Abraham Lincoln was president, even though they both think that I was born a really long time ago, and "so was Abraham Lincoln you know."
Learning... That I should be so much more organized. This has been a lesson on repeat for years now. Shockingly I once had a job where my responsibilities were to keep a staff of three men organized, as well as a team of volunteers, and weekly events that included a few hundred people.
Those days are so long gone that I literally cannot believe that I had such amazing organizational skills at one point in my life.

Looking... Forward to sitting on the couch with my husband tonight, catching up on TV, drinking some delicious vodka tonics, and unwinding from the stress of some unexpected events of this week.
