Our laundry room is my least favorite room to look at.
I'm not sure if anyone else would really qualify our laundry room as a room. Maybe a closet? A laundry closet?
A few years ago I painted over the original salmon-ish color that was in there when we bought the house. The ceiling was included in that salmon paint job, because OF COURSE salmon colored paint should be on the walls, and the ceiling.
Back then, I had an obsessive love affair going on with red, and red was everywhere in every room in the house.
So for this room re-do, I painted the whole wall that the washer and dryer (and the shelves) sit against in red.
Like red red.
I painted the other three walls (and the shelves and cabinets) in an off-white. Once all of that was done, I decided the white-ish walls needing something extra, so I painted red stripes on the walls, and then painted on some scroll-ish swirls over top of the red.
At the time, I loved it. For the past 2-3 years now though, I've had much less than a love feeling towards all of it.
Besides not loving either paint color, or the paint designs, our laundry room has become basically a trash dump for all of the things that we don't know what to do with, and also for the things we know what to do with, but don't freaking do it.
This room obviously needs dealt with, and is next on the project list.
Obviously.
Maybe when this room looks great, I'll get more enjoyment out of doing laundry.
Haaaaaaa.

You and your laundry....
